Upon switching jobs, moving apartments, and finding a new roommate, I decided to change my Equinox membership location to Gramercy; purely for convenience purposes. I tried out a large variety of classes until I eventually blindly attended one of Gina’s. I immediately sensed this uniquely captivating energy and knew she had something special to offer so I continued to attend as many classes as possible to the point I found myself happily shaping my social schedule to do 3 back to back on a Saturday morning aka "the triple". I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I followed Gina to the pilot class of Jabs but can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I've made in life. One year ago Jabs didn't exist and now I can't imagine any aspect of my life without it. Because of Jabs I’ve established a new passion for fitness, gained an amazing new network of friends / "Jabbers", and found an inspiring new role model in Gina! As a byproduct of this entire journey, I’m feeling better about myself, not forcing people to delete every photo i'm in, and I’m no longer going home every weekend to avoid plans. I’ve been focusing on making a conscious effort to be selective in what I do and who I surround myself with. This means doing what makes me happy *Jabbing* in hopes that everything else will fall into place. I've had a really transformative year and I am forever grateful that I found my passion here. For the first time I feel like I am rebuilding much of the confidence I had lost and can fully attribute that to my increased addiction in Jabs. The physical rewards of exercising are great but the mental and emotional based benefits triumph all. There is absolutely no better feeling than when you crush a seemingly impossible Jabs workout, nail the choreography, get in one additional push up, memorize the throwback raps like Gina, and simply feel on top of the world. I am excited to see what’s to come as I continue to grow along side this amazing group!
